Urban Planning for Community Change (UPC) is dedicated to fostering positive transformations in urban and rural areas through applied research and innovative planning solutions.

Urban Planning for Community Change (UPC) is a Tanzania-based local non-profit research-for-development organisation established formally in January 2019 with the aim of transforming urban and rural development through rigorous evidence generation and use in bridging the gap between theory and practice in planning, execution, and practices of development initiatives in Tanzania.

UPC is registered under the Tanzanian Non-Governmental Organisations Act, No.24 of 2002 to operate in all the regions and districts of Tanzania Mainland with registration number: 00NGO/00010055
